Sending architecture
Instantly lets you connect mailboxes (Gmail / Outlook / private SMTP), but its core inbox-placement engine is heavily reliant on the Instantly-hosted DFY (Done-For-You) domains and shared sending infrastructure. When that infrastructure has a bad week, every customer sees deliverability dip.
Bulk Email Boxer is mailbox-only. You connect your own Gmail/Workspace/Outlook/SMTP via app-password. We never touch your DNS and we don't have shared IPs. Your reputation, your domain, your control, and our outage doesn't co-tank your inbox rate.
Warmup
Both include warmup. The difference is how much.
- Instantly caps warmup volume by tier and charges $20-30/mo for additional inboxes beyond a few.
- Bulk Email Boxer runs unlimited warmup on unlimited mailboxes on every plan. No add-ons.
For an outbound team with 8-15 mailboxes, this difference is $200-400/mo.
Deliverability features (RFC 8058 / List-Unsubscribe)
As of February 2024, Gmail and Yahoo enforce one-click unsubscribe via
the List-Unsubscribe-Post: List-Unsubscribe=One-Click header for
senders >5,000/day. Both Bulk Email Boxer and Instantly stamp this
correctly today.

Sequencing and A/B testing
Both support multi-step sequences with branching, A/B variants, and reply-detection auto-stop.
- Instantly's sequence editor is more polished, they've shipped longer.
- Bulk Email Boxer's editor is simpler but covers the same primitives, including spintax / variable injection / opened-clicked-replied branching.
Where Instantly still wins
- Lead database / B2B contact finder. Instantly bundles a leads DB on higher tiers. Bulk Email Boxer assumes you bring your own list.
- Brand recognition. Bigger brand → easier to convince a conservative VP-of-Sales to sign off. We're newer.
- Integrations marketplace. Instantly has more native Zapier / HubSpot / Pipedrive integrations. We have a webhook system you can point at any of them, but it's bring-your-own-glue.

Verdict
If you're already on Instantly and happy: stay. The cost of switching warmup state isn't worth a few dollars saved.
If you're choosing fresh, or scaling up and watching the volume caps on Instantly's tiers, Bulk Email Boxer undercuts the price and roughly doubles the volume at every tier. Same warmup, same RFC 8058 compliance, twice the sending headroom for a lower bill, no per-mailbox tax.
